Mainstream media is systematically downplaying Epstein connection to Israel

The media is spinning the biggest espionage scandal in US history into just another kooky MAGA conspiracy theory. Are they trying to prevent Left/Right anti-Zionist narratives from coming together?

The mainstream media is deliberately obfuscating the controversy surrounding Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein as a case of MAGA “conspiracy theorists” eating their own, explicitly comparing it to “QAnon” and “Pizzagate,” and completely ignoring the very credible accusations of links between Jeffrey Epstein and Israeli intelligence.

A survey of 40 headlines from of the past week concerning the Trump/Epstein controversy (including news articles and editorials) from some of the top political newspapers and websites revealed only 7% mentioned Israel anywhere in the body of the article.

The question of whether Jeffrey Epstein had links to Israeli intelligence is central to the scandal. The claim is not simply that Epstein was a “random pervert” who happened to have a private island where he trafficked underage girls and who also happened to know dozens of powerful and influential personalities in politics and media, but that he was running a industrial-scale blackmail ring involving 1000+ victims for Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad.

Remarkably, even many articles claiming to “explain” the Epstein controversy fail to mention Israel at all. A few of the most egregious examples:

Tucker Carlson recently made the accusation again at a speech addressing the TPUSA conference in Tampa, Florida:

And so the real question is not, was Jeffrey Epstein a weirdo who was abusing girls? Yes, we can answer that. The real question is, why was he doing this, on whose behalf, and where did the money come from? And those are the questions that need to be answered, and I think it's entirely fair to ask them…. And I think the real answer is Jeffrey Epstein was working on behalf of intel services, probably not American. And we have every right to ask, on whose behalf was he working? How does a guy go from being a math teacher at the Dalton School in the late '70s with no college degree to having multiple airplanes, a private island, and the largest residential house in Manhattan? Where did all the money come from? And no one has ever gotten to the bottom of that because no one has ever tried. And moreover, it's extremely obvious to anyone who watches it that this guy had direct connections to a foreign government. Now, no one's allowed to say that that foreign government is Israel because we have been somehow cowed into thinking that that's naughty…. And the effect of making that off-limits has been to create a lot of resentment and, I'll say it, hate online, where people feel like they can't just say, “What the hell is this?” You have the former Israeli Prime Minister living in your house. You have had all this contact with a foreign government. Were you working on behalf of Mossad? Were you running a blackmail operation on behalf of a foreign government? By the way, every single person in Washington, D.C. thinks that. I've never met anyone who doesn't think that.

This accusation is especially inflammatory because of Trump’s recent acts of war against the Islamic Republic of Iran, urged on by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and against the wishes of the overwhelmingly majority of Trump voters, who voted for Trump partially on the promise to keep America out of any more Middle East wars.

Trump has since attacked his own followers for showing any interest in the truth behind the claims, calling them “weaklings” who have fallen for “bullshit” and labeling the entire scandal a “Democrat hoax.”

If Trump is in fact a blackmailed Israeli asset, this would be the most high-profile and explosive case of foreign subversion of a sitting president in American history. The evidence is far more damning than anything involving the media’s former obsession with “Russiagate,” yet nobody in the mainstream media is willing to label this ISRAELGATE, preferring instead to lump it all under “the Epstein files” (which invokes the 90s series The X Files about aliens & other fictional conspiracies) or simply referring to it as “that Epstein thing.”

The claim that Epstein was working for Israeli Mossad by running an international blackmail “honeypot” operation is backed up by former members of Israeli intelligence, the Mossad links to father of Epstein’s partner and convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell, his links to billionaire Zionist and Victoria’s Secret founder Les Wexner, claims by Epstein’s ex-girlfriend that he bragged about being a Mossad agent, the frequent visits and close contact between Epstein and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barack, and mountains of other evidence.

Alternative media have thoroughly documented these links. The accusations are central to the story of why this scandal is blowing up. So why is the mainstream media so systemically keeping these claims out of most news stories and editorials about the Epstein scandal?

The obvious conclusion is that in the wake of unprecedented collapse in support for Israel on both the Left and the Right, most mainstream news publications are under editorial control to keep this story from being about Israel in the minds of the public.

Liberal media is busy trying to make it about a “MAGA civil war” caused by right-wing “conspiracy theorists,” meanwhile Trump and his Zionist allies on the Right are trying desperately to spin it as a “hoax” by “Democrats.” Both sides are clearly playing into the WWE-like stage managed theatrics of Red Team vs. Blue Team USA politics to keep their supporters from finding common ground.

The reality is ISRAELGATE is neither a Right nor a Left issue. It’s an issue that unites all Americans who do not wish to see their country subverted and led into foreign wars. On this point nationalists and populists concerned with American sovereignty share common ground with progressives outraged by Israel’s war crimes and genocide in Gaza.

The vast majority of Americans disapprove Donald Trump’s handling of the Epstein controversy. So the media downplaying the accusations of Epstein’s connections to Israel at the heart of the scandal is, at best, a glaring omission and abandonment of journalistic ethics to tell the whole truth.

At worst, it’s part of an editorial strategy to keep readers from connecting the dots.
