Is White Nationalism an Overreaction to Critical Race Theory?

Independent YouTube commentator Kim Iversen recently posted a video asking whether the increasing popularity of White Nationalism on the Right is simply an overreaction, or over-correction, to extreme “woke” ideology from the Left.

I thought it was important to answer this video, both because she raised points that go beyond the typical online Right-Left dichotomy, and also because this question touches on complex issues of nationality, immigration, and bi-racial identity in America that are rarely discussed by either the Right or the Left.
